- ANTE EL CAMBIO DE ACTIVIDADES EN LA ERA MODERNA.

Due to the current change in ecosystems since the arrival of the modern era, I see the necessity to raise awareness in favor of the well-being of nature. Within the group of 17 "megadiverse countries", Mexico is ranked number 5, after Brazil, Colombia, China and Indonesia. However, global biodiversity has decreased alarmingly in the past century: more than 25,000 species, almost a third of those known, are in danger of disappearing. That’s why I created PRIMITIVE, with a series of paintings focused on primitive activities contrasted with endangered animals, highlighting the fauna and flora that nature gives us, and which is being exploited unconsciously. I use two main technics in PRIMITIVE.
One made from pigments obtained from endemic Mesoamerican plants with autochthonous themes using a single tone, I visualize ancestral activities still present in the daily life of Mexican families. The second shows surreal landscapes and portraits, with particular species as the protagonist, where with bright and varied colors they represent contemplation, in my vision, is the magic of each species.
DADO EL CAMBIO ACTUAL EN LOS ECOSISTEMAS A PARATIR DE LA LLEGADA DE LA ERA MODERNA VEO NECESARIO COMENZAR HACER CONCIENCIA EN FAVOR DEL BIENESTAR DE LA NATURALEZA.
DENTRO DEL GRUPO DE LOS 17 “PAÍSES MEGADIVERSOS”, MÉXICO SE UBICA EN EL LUGAR NÚMERO 5, DESPUÉS DE BRASIL, COLOMBIA, CHINA E INDONESIA. ESTOS PAÍSES ABARCAN EL 10% DE LA SUPERFICIE TERRESTRE Y ALOJAN AL 70% DE LA BIODIVERSIDAD PLANETARIA, DE LA CUAL NUESTRO PAÍS ALBERGA, SEGÚN ESTIMACIONES, ALREDEDOR DEL 12%.
LA CONTRAPARTE HACIA ESTA INVESTIGACION ES QUE LA BIODIVERSIDAD MUNDIAL HA DISMINUIDO ALARMANTEMENTE EN MEDIO SIGLO: MÁS DE 25.000 ESPECIES, CASI UN TERCIO DE LAS CONOCIDAS, ESTÁN EN PELIGRO DE DESAPARECER. EL CAMBIO CLIMÁTICO SERÁ EL RESPONSABLE DE UN 8% DE ELLAS.
PRIMITIVE SE CREA A PARTIR DE ESTOS CAMBIOS CLIMATICOS, CON UNA SERIE DE PINTURAS ENFOCADAS EN ACTIVIDADES PRIMITIVAS CONTRAPUESTAS CON ANIMALES EN PELIGRO DE EXTINCION, DESTACA LA FAUNA Y FLORA QUE NOS REGALA LA NATURALEZA, Y LA CUAL ESTA SIENDO EXPLOTADA DE FORMA INCONCIENTE.

PRIMITIVE SE DIVIDE EN DOS TÉCNICAS PICTÓRICAS QUE CONJUNTAMENTE SE VUELVEN UNA SOLA SERIE.
LA PRIMERA PARTE HECHA A BASE DE PIGMENTOS AUTÓCTONOS Y DE FORMA MONOCROMATICA, QUE REPRESENTAN LAS ACTIVIDADES ANCESTRALES Y ALGUNAS AUN PRESENTES EN LA VIDA COTIDIANA DE FAMILIAS MEXICANAS.
QUIERO RESALTAR ESTAS ACTIVIDADES INCLUYENDO NIÑOS EN ESTAS ESCENAS, YA QUE PIENSO QUE ESTAMOS OLVIDANDO LOS JUEGOS Y LAS FORMAS SENCILLAS DE DISFRUTAR DE UN DIA, YA SEA CON UNA TAZA DE CAFÉ SERVIDO EN UNA TAZA DE BARRO O DE CORRER POR UN CAMPO DE CULTIVO. CON LA LLEGADA DE LA ERA MODERNA MUCHAS ACTIVIDADES TOMARON UN RUMBO DIFERENTE.

UN EJEMPLO SERIA PREFERIR EL CONSUMISMO DE OBJETOS PLASTICOS PARA NUESTRA DIVERSION QUE SOLO TENDRAN UN TIEMPO CORTO DE UTILIDAD Y LUEGO SERAN DESECHADOS, AFECTANDO ASÍ EL SUELO DE LOS ECOSISTEMAS.
PIENSO QUE RETOMAR ESTAS ACTIVIDADES PODRIA SER DE GRAN AYUDA PARA LA CONSERVACION Y PRESERVACION DE NUESTRA BIODIVERSIDAD. EN LO PERSONAL, ME GUSTARIA QUE MÉXICO SIGA FORMANDO PARTE DE LOS PRIMEROS LUGARES EN LA LISTA DE LOS PAISES MEGADIVERSOS.

ASI PUES, EN BASE A ESTA IDEA, LA SEGUNDA PARTE DE ESTA SERIE, EN CONTRAPOSICION CON LA PRIMERA, MUESTRA UN PAISAJE O RETRATO SURREALISTA, CON COLORES BRILLANTES Y VARIADOS PARA REPRESENTAR LO QUE PARA MI CONTEMPLACIÓN, ES LA MAGIA DE CADA ESPECIE.
